On Friday 7th June KS2 had a visit from Graham Stuart and Councillor Sue Steel. Graham is a British Conservative Party politician. He has been the Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness since 2005, and currently serves as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for International Trade.
When Graham & Sue first arrived they were greeted by Mrs Fellows, Mr Johnson and members of our School Council. They were given a tour around the school, starting with our newly built SEN unit. Graham & Sue complimented our school and praised how well behaved all our pupils were.
After the tour we had a Question & Answer session in the hall, starting with Y3 & Y4 followed by Y5 & Y6. Graham Stuart explained what it’s like to be an MP, he answered questions about SATS Tests, Brexit, Police and the importance of our Rainforests. Then our School Council members had a meeting to discuss a number of issues, including ways Education could be improved with the right support from the Government.
