Today EYFS had a visit from The Deep, to learn all about penguins. The children really enjoyed the session. They learnt so many facts about penguins and got to look at some feathers and eggs. They watched a video of the penguins being fed by their parents and also by the keepers at The Deep. They learnt that penguins are carnivores and that they can hold their breaths under water for 7 minutes plus many more interesting facts, ask your child all about it, see which facts they can teach you!
The children then made their own bracelet tags, similar to how The Deep identify their penguins. Each tag had a unique colour pattern, females are tagged on their left wing and males are tagged on their right wings.
