Year 1 went on a Geography Fieldwork trip into Hedon today with the purpose of identifying Hedon’s human features, including the types of housing and commercial buildings we see. Mrs Todd took us to the shops including our favourite fruit and vegetables shop, the Hedon town hall, the painters cottages and the church. We talked about the differences in the architecture we saw and what makes Hedon a town. The library also hosted a special stop for each class, where we looked at books and old pictures of Hedon. Mr Smith read “Martha maps it out” and we had lots of fun exploring the library finding the information we were looking for. We were also spoken to by the recycling man who helped us understand how to look after our world. Special thanks to our parents and helpers who came with us today.
