Y5 pupils had a busy few DT lessons in December researching, designing and making a pulley car. See the blog and photos below:
5th December
Year 5 investigated how to make a pulley system with a plastic bottle and then tested how much it would lift. We are now going to use this investigation to create a car with a working pulley mechanism…eyes peeled for the results.
6th December
Year 5 have been making their cars. They have used excellent skills in measuring, sawing and joining materials with glue guns. They also showed excellent team work and problem solving skills with lots of resilience as various challenges were thrown in. We are very proud of them.
