On Friday, children enjoyed an outdoor learning day, creating their own model rivers. This activity tied into their new topic on Rivers, giving them a hands-on insight into how rivers are formed and how they shape the landscape.

Year 3 have enjoyed some observational landscape drawings of our school and the school grounds. They thought carefully about the tone and shading that they could use with different shapes. We had some lovely landscapes produced at the end. Well done year 3.

In science, year six conducted an experiment to find out the optimum conditions for growing yeast. They discovered that warm water (not too hot and not too cold) and sugar are required for the yeast to start respiration (one of the 8 signs of life).
