Year 3 have been looking at how shadows are created. We discussed the meaning of opaque, translucent and transparent and carried out an investigation to see which materials created a shadow.

Y3 Cave Paintings!
Y3 have created their own cave paintings. They started by creating a backwash and then once it had dried they added hand prints and finally they sketched animals from the Stone Age on to their paintings . Y3 staff think they look magnificent.

Subtraction lessons with Y1

Y3 Escape Room
So much excitement in the Year 3 classrooms today. Each Year 3 class has been "locked" in a cave and the only way to escape was to solve the clues around the classroom, all based on our learning about "Rocks, soils and fossils" in order to get out!
