EYFS thoroughly enjoyed their science experiment exploring what would melt ice the fastest. They tested salt, their hands, tin foil, warm water, and simply leaving the ice at room temperature. The children predicted that salt would work the quickest, linking it to how salt is used on roads when it snows. Warm water turned out to be the fastest, closely followed by salt. The children had lots of fun experimenting, making predictions, and talking about their results.
